On Thursday, September 26th, Holy Angels will present the Shreveport/Bossier community with their 38th Annual TASTE Festival at the Bossier Civic Center.

Members of the community are encouraged to join in the festivities and help impact the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at Holy Angels by celebrating the community’s vibrant food and art culture. Festival-goers have the opportunity to sample signature dishes from more than 30 local chefs, bid on hundreds of unique items in the silent auction, and enjoy beautiful creative works by Holy Angels’ Angel Artists and community artists.

Holy Angels is an independent licensed residential training facility, serving approximately 185 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities whose ages range from newborn to older adults. Their mission is to provide these individuals with a path to self-fulfillment through education, empowerment, spirituality, independence, and work. In order to continue the work that the current volunteers and its founding predecessors have been called to do since 1947, Holy Angels hosts many fundraising events and relies on community generosity.

Holy Angels’ call to aid in educational and developmental growth is supported by many local philanthropic individuals, businesses, and organizations. Sealy & Company is honored to be involved in Holy Angels’ efforts this year as a Platinum Sponsor, having donated over $10,000 to the cause. In an effort to continually involve its employees in the local community, Sealy’s Shreveport employees will all be attending the festival where they will get to enjoy the atmosphere and meet Holy Angels members as well.

All auction and event proceeds benefit Holy Angels with approximately 86 center of every dollar going directly toward client care.

Holy Angels is an independent licensed residential training facility, serving approximately 185 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities whose ages range from newborn to older adults primarily from Louisiana and Texas. However, Holy Angels serves individuals from more than 15 states.

Holy Angels provides clients opportunities to live in the most independent settings in homes integrated in the community. In addition, individuals with behavior or medical needs are served on our beautiful campus in specialized programs.
